3ve’s blog…duh!

Hey hey!!! i cant believe how long i wanted to write here…but…the heart is willing but the flesh is weak. Hehehe….so, wat’s up people!! NIce to meet u here in the new year!! Woo Hoo! New year, new beginning….but for those of u still doing the same course and still doing the same job….it doesnt feel much like a new year la.l…hahah! SO SO SO MANY MANY MANY MANY things i wanna tell u guys, a lot of things had happened these few days!

Okok…let me start off. Remember tat i told u i got a job in Pets Lovers Centre in Pyramid? The new pet shop? The one which i was hoping for…went for two interview and was praying so tat i’m accepted? Remember? Ah!!! Good good…u know wat? U can forget bout tat al’d! Hehehehe….coz i’m not working there anymore…coz ever since i didnt recieve any phone calls, i went there and ask. "T" says tat she called me a lot of times including using her own handphone…in which i didnt pick up. So i started checking my record…and she quickly added tat she called me very long time ago…i asked her wat number she called, she said she didnt call me herself but some other ppl…em…called me long time ago wit her handphone, but she didnt make the call…since she didnt call me…then how she knows when ‘they’ called me? And why is she avoiding my gaze and oso my bunch of frens which happened to follow me there? Em…weird…well, i’ll give her a benefit of a doubt though she wasted my saturday to go for the interview all the way to Ikano, and oso my petrol money plus the trouble of photostating my ic + certificates for a part time sales assistant position RM4.50 per hour. But oh well…not destined!

But…i’m ver y very sure tat it was not God’s will for me there….He has found a better place for me! Guess wat? i’m working at Sunway Lagoon’s new wildlife interactive zoo! Ok…when u see a girl running around wit snakes, parrots and talking real loud through a microphone…tat would be a high chance of being me. Hehehe…well…basically, i’m a presenter at the zoo…at least tat’s wat i applied for. But the thing is…since we are short of staff…i’m doing some zoo keeping job too. I present the animals while they perform and oso bring ppl around the zoo…struggling to answer tough questions (believe me, children do ask the darnest questions…) and trying to sound like steve irvin when we meet squirrels…haha! Well, though very tiring…but it’s really interesting working there…it’s like…a normal day would be abnormal. Hehehe….there’s always things happening around…and animals tat really will make u laugh! Not to mention the higher pay tat comes wit it all! Okok, i’ll try and remember few of the unforgetable ones here…hav a good laugh at it!

1. Children can be cute and annoying~~! Annoyingly cute!           ~The zoo is not really opened yet, but we did opened for a special preview from 28 dec till 2 jan. And during then i brought a chinese speaking family up the jungle trail to meet the animals…there were two lil kid, a boy and girl i think bout 5-6 yrs old. They were so happy tat i spoke chinese instead of english and told them about the animals…so cute! Then while we were walking, lboth of them actually held my hands and kept on chattering wit me…haha! Cute!! Even at the end of the trail, tey didnt wanna let go of my hand. In the children’s zoo, they saw the wallabies and asked me whether they were kangaroos…i explained to them. But i think they tot it was baby kangaroos…and they asked me:" Jie jie, where are the mommy and daddy?" I jus laughed….sweat! And for every animal, the boy will tug my hand and ask:" Do they bite?" Hahaha…even the father was so embaressed tat he asked him to stop asking the questions. HAhaha….Kids!

2. My Fav Animal…SAYANG!!                                                        ~I work under a stage ( the stage where i present) which has two doors, one at each end. While the crew and i was getting getting ready for the show, one of the trainers asked me to close the front gate as they are feeding the primates, and dun wan any of them running all over the place. I closed it…but while we were half way preparing for it, i heard a loud shout:" Tutup pintu!" ias i was the nearest to the front door, i turned and looked, to my horror, the door was opened, probably the other trainer has exited from there but didnt close it…and i can see a monkey…or rather a gibbon running towards us. I turned to the girl nearest to the back door and shouted for her to close it…if not…a gibbon running loose in lagoon is VERY HARD to track down. Luckily, we all break froze fast enuf to slam the back door shut. The Gibbon named Pinkey, saw there was no open jumped on one of the empty snake cages…two trainers started to compund the gibbon. i was honestly a bit afraid coz we hav been warned tat the primates will give u nasty bites and we are not allowed to stay too close to them even in cages. One of the trainers was still playing around, running after her imitating the noise and runnign style, i think Pinkey got a bit panicked and took a u turn adn ran. She was running towards me and remember how i was warned, tried to avoid her and make way for her to run. But instead of running straight tat she shud, she followed my leg positioning. And ‘bam’ there she goes…( no she didnt bite me) She did the unthinkable, she actually hugged my leg! HAhaha…all of us started laughing…she’s so sweet…and i found out tat pinkey was the most tame amongst all…from tat day on, i visit her everyday in her cage and give her some nice corn which she’ll gladly accept. Cute huh? my new sayang!

3. "Hello"                                                                                    ~I was doing my 1st show wit real public audience…was really nervous, went through my script bout 3-4 times. Determine not to screw things up. The time came and we started…everything was going ok….one of our macaws did his opening act a bit slow, but it was quite ok. Then came the time when another macaw, named King Kong was to do his act. King Kong al’d has a reputation of being a bully…to human beings. So, the thing is, King Kong is suppose to play dead when a volunteer holds up their fingers like a gun and shoot him. I asked for the volunteer…he came up, i gave him the seeds to feed King Kong, then he tries to shoot King Kong, instea of rolling over, he did the begging thing….bobbing his head up and down. I was so nervous tat i asked the volunteer to feed him some more seeds and try it again. He gave somemore seeds to King Kong…one by one, by the first one, King Kong ate the seed and did the unbelievable, some hidden talent i didnt know he could do, but of course, he chose the worse time of all to show it. He turned to the volunteer and myself and said:"Hello". if i were in a japanese comic, u’ll see a  real big sweat above my forehead. The guy gave another seed, and King Kong said hello again…The bird decided he didnt want to die, but instead he rather say hello…sigh! Tat’s wat u get when the bird is ur boss…following up the racoon came up, but instead of performing, she rather walk to the grassy side of the stage and start eating grass and mud…hmm…delicious (jus tat afterwards she vomitted the mud in her cage) i send her back without doing anything. And tat’s not all, during the bird races…Ronnie(one of the macaws) decided he didnt wan to race tat day and jus took the hoop off the table, climb up the perch and drop it on the ground. Taa Daa! While the other one won the competition without any competitor…!! ARRGGHHH!! All at the same day on my first public show…THANK u guys…!
