ConFuSiNg Enuf!
Hello~! How is everyone? Hehehhe…a lil update on myself…for those tat has been askign me bout UPM…though i’ve unclearly stated in my MSN not to ask…but i believe all of u asked wit a concerned heart…so, UPM has not decided. They need MORE recommendation letters. More time to think. Bout wat? NO IDEA. So, i’m currently working part time jobs…sometimes freelancing wit roadshows (next one in Nov, Nokia N series roadshows in 1U and Mid Valley) sometimes back in the zoo…so, when i’m free, i’m really free, if i’m not, then i’m really not free.
THoUghT of D DaY
Has been long sinced i’ve written this column…not to say tat i’m not thinking these days…jus to ignorant to write it down which leads to regret. I’ve worked 3 days in the zoo and i’m tired. I slept in today…it was great. Till i was awaken to watch my latest "addiction" Grey’s Anatomy. I picked up the remote while eyes still droopy and watch the series. Then i realize tat it was a repeat which i’ve watched. Nvm…it seems interesting though i know wat’s going to happen. Then something the show said hit me. (Christina) was arguing wit (Izzy) because Izzy has fallen for a dying patient and tried to make him sicker so he can be moved up the transplant list to get the heart. And Christina refuses to help her. So, they were arguing tat Izzy shouldnt hav fallen for her own patient and Izzy retalliated tat Christina herself shudnt have fallen for her own attendent. They were having a big squabble…(U know…the kind tat usually need someone to shout "Shut up!" and everyone quiets down?) then Christina asked wat’s her (Izzy) point of bringing in her love life…(Here comes the "shut up" part) Then Meredith says loudly:" The point is…we cant chose who we fall for." (then there’s the quiet part)…
Ya, it hit me. Ok…for those who watch this series will know tat Meredith oso fell for her attendent which in turn actually has a wife she doesnt know of. So…the irony is tat…in tat room, she is the one wit the problem of falling for the "wrongest" guy…yet she is the one tat kept her cool and admitted it.
We cant choose who we fall in love wit. We cant get to choose the good looking one or the athlete one. We cant. Tat’s the pits. Why do some girls still fall for bad men? And why do they still close their eyes when they know they are not treating them right? Why dont we fall for the kind guy but we fall for the one wit the sense of humour? Why dun we fall for those tat loves us, but for those tat dun? Funny huh? WE cant choose who we fall in love wit.
I had a conversation wit a fren recently, and we talked bout the weaknesses tat we see in the person we love. I said i am not the kind tat would fall for this kinda character…and she said y do i still do? i tot for a while and i said becoz there are other qualities tat appeals to me…and it jus seems tat this "package" comes wit some other qualities tat i didnt choose. Ya…then she said a Chinese proverb tat i forgotten. But it means tat if a person were to but a house tat he really really likes and in that house has a bird, he would hav to love the bird oso. So ya, the "package" may come in some qualities u want and some u dun, u get to choose the "package" but u dun get to choose wat’s in it. No Ala Carte’s available. It is the matter of whether u are able to bear the unwanted qualities in the package or not.
U dun get to choose who u fall in love wit…heart breaking for some when u hav fallen for someone u shudnt or u couldnt hav. But tat’s life…sometimes…i think it might be a blessing in disguise…maybe, tat’s why it’s call "falling" in love..u cant help it when u fall…if u fall, u…fall. The pain comes when u hit the ground, the warm comes when someone lifts u up. Maybe all of us needs a lil bit of pain to feel the warmth.
